I’m on a roll! Hope to get the rest of me sessions blogged today, or at least this week! This little peach is adorable little Adalynn. Her brother had his newborn session in October 2014 and I was so happy that Morgan asked me to take her daughter’s photos as well. She was born July this year and she came to my mother’s house for their photos once again.
(HERE is Preston’s session and HERE were their Christmas Mini’s where she announced their pregnancy).
Bright-eyed girl at the beginning!
Snug as a bug. Adalynn loved being swaddled.
Oh my love for granny squares is real. I was doing a happy dance on the inside when Morgan agreed on this set-up. Love this!
Black and white… lighting… this angle. Love this shot.
At the end we were able to sneak outside for some more family shots. I love my Mom’s place for that reason, the natural light in her house is amazing and her property is so beautiful for outdoor photos.
When my nephew Jackson was born, I was able to be there at the hospital with my sister and help her remember his birth with some photographs. It was a beautiful time and I’m so happy I was able to be there to do that for her. But, when his little sister was ready to greet the world it was a little different. I wasn’t able to get to the hospital for her birth, let alone to even visit them before she was discharged. A little disappointing for me, but at least we were able to do a quick newborn session for her.
(Here is Madelynn’s maternity session)
MJ (as I call her) was pretty different when compared to her big brother for her session. She didn’t care to sleep much, and when she finally did sleep it only lasted a few short minutes. Then she was awake peeing, pooping, or puking. Ha ha, no joke. Her poor tummy was so sensitive when she was brand new so our session was cut short a little bit.
Big brother Jackson.
This little bonnet I designed specifically for MJ for her newborn session. It looks so lovely on her.
Andddddd half a year later I am just blogging these photos now?!? I have no clue how I missed posting these back in October, but I hope you’ll forgive me. Just like that saying, better late than never, right?
I’ve known Morgan for a long time, since we were kids and showed horses together and her mom used to give me riding lessons when I first started out. I even did her and Ryan’s engagement session back in 2012 (click here). Morgan contacted me while she was expecting and inquired about newborn photos for their baby and of course I said yes!
Preston was a joy to work with, and was a super easy baby to pose. Made my job a little easier 😉
This was the only smirk we got out of him.
